Old Haybarn – week 52 (commencing on 29th December each year) - Hogmanay
For almost 40 years we have enjoyed celebrating Hogmanay (New Year in Scotland) with friends and family in the Old Haybarn. Sadly the years have caught up with us and, although the week which includes Hogmanay can be easily rented, we have decided that the time has come for us to sell.
Old Haybarn has 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk) and two bathrooms. A double sofa bed in the upstairs sitting room means that it can comfortably accommodate 8 people. The property is heated throughout by electric radiators.
This spacious cottage has an excellent layout. The ground floor has an open plan, fully equipped kitchen (including large fridge/freezer and dishwasher)/ dining area, 2 bedrooms and a shower room/wc.
Upstairs there is a large sitting room (with lovely views over Melfort Village and beyond), a double bedroom and a bathroom (shower, bath and w/c). The sitting room has a wood burning stove making it very cosy when the weather turns cold.
Old Haybarn is very well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It is near the tennis court, swimming pool, children’s play area, bistro and club house.
